Distinguish the purpose of the excavation
Preparing the area of a building, building a trench and setting up a plot are different requirements. Indicates to which work the excavation is connected, the interested perimeter and the available elaborates. Depth, geometry and sequence depend on the project and the features of the site.
Information on neighbouring structures, present networks and soil conditions must be made available to technicians and companies. The absence of visible elements on the surface does not show that the area is free from interference.
Accesses and spaces to organize the work
It documents the route that connects the road to the intervention area, narrow passages, altitude changes and points that can be used for loading and unloading. A practical walking link is not equivalent to a suitable access to construction vehicles.
If the area is close to inhabited buildings or an activity in operation, it highlights the routes to be maintained. The phases must take into account the subsequent works, so as to avoid overlapping between excavation, laying of artifacts and restoration.
Clarify materials and restores in the quote
The quantities to be moved are only a part of the request. It is necessary to distinguish material to dig, any carryovers, internal movements and transport. The destination of the materials and the necessary documentation must be defined in relation to their nature and the project.
Specifies how the area will have to be presented at the end: altitude, fittings, flooring, vegetable soil or other planned works. A quote that considers only the excavation is not comparable with one that also includes all final accommodation.

Can I ask for an evaluation with the only indicative dimensions?
The dimensions help to present the need, but do not define the intervention. In order to evaluate processing and organization, project, site conditions, interference and material management are also required.
Should restores be indicated immediately?
Yes. Shares, finishes and final use of the area affect the sequence and the perimeter of the offer. It is useful to specify which works will be performed by other subjects after the excavation.
